Paul Jacobs - Artist, Art Educator and Visual Arts Consultant
Paul Jacobs is a painter and drawer who has extensive knowledge in conventional and current methods of image making. He employs charcoal, soft pastels, oils, acrylics, watercolour, gouache and numerous other mix media.
Paul is a practising artist who loves to explore the boundaries of design principles through a variety of media. The combination of extensive teaching experience with innovative practical application means that Paul produces works that is dynamic and powerful but also deeply reflective in nature. He teaches with the same passion and vision.
Paul’s qualifications include B.Ed., B.A. and B.A. (Hons. Art). He has a long history of studying, creating and imparting his knowledge about the visual arts to students of all ages.
Paul has taught art in a number of educational settings, and recently ended a 32-year career at Aquinas College in order to pursue his own artwork and branch out in to teaching art classes within the public arena.
Fremantle has been Paul’s home for over 40 years, and he is well known in the local art world. In addition, he has undertaken several commissions and scholarships, plus held many successful exhibitions that showcased his passion for capturing images.
Paul has now retired from over 40 years of teaching art and is currently working on exhibition projects and new works in his South Fremantle studio.
