I went to Bali by myself for a week to engage in some serious uninterrupted art making. I searched and finally found a carpenter who manufactured an easel for me. I stood outside my cheap hotel room with my new easel and started this soft pastel drawing when the sun went down. This imaginary work emerged as I gazed at the beautiful Indonesian night garden thinking of our stunning Western Australian bush!
